Civic Theatre of Greater Lafayette was recently awarded the Creative Aging Grant by the Lifelong Arts Indiana for Arts Organizations (LAOO). Civic Theatre has been awarded a $20,000 grant and is one of four arts organizations selected statewide to participate in the 2024-25 LAOO Cohort to grow creative aging practices and implement a robust pilot creative aging program. In the upcoming year, following the Cohort program, Civic will be implementing a creative-aging education program that will bring creative experiences to community members ages sixty-five and older, in the community and provide access to underserved communities.
