Artist-in-Residence Sarah Ruh

Sarah is joining our esteemed line of Resident Artists at Civic Theatre starting at the beginning of the 2024-2025 season. Her artwork will be highlighting our shows for the next two seasons!

Sarah (Skinner) Ruh graduated from Purdue University with a BA in Fine Arts and a minor in English, which led her to a career in graphic design and marketing communications. After college, she moved to Austin, Texas, where she worked as the communications director for the Texas Travel Industry Association and then as the VP of marketing for the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce. In 2015, she moved back to West Lafayette with her husband Brian, and their two children.

She is now a full-time artist and is actively involved in the local arts community. She previously served as the director of the Haan Museum of Indiana Art in Lafayette, and is now the president of the Wabash Valley Artists Society. She was recently named as the Artist in Residence for Civic Theatre of Greater Lafayette, and will be creating artwork for their 2024-25 season.
