Welcome to The Bob Sauers Box Office

In memorial of Robert "Bob" G. Sauers, 1936 - 2021. A long time volunteer and later Box Office Manager for Civic Theatre. We are proud to keep our beloved Bob in our memory for many volunteer-generations to come. Make sure to check out our memorial plaque and shadow box in the lobby after visiting the new Bob Sauers Box Office, also located in our theater lobby.

This season, all individual tickets, and season passes can now be purchased and managed online at no additional charge. For optimal seating selection, we now encourage early online purchasing.  To better accommodate your schedule, we have enhanced our virtual box office experience, and there are no longer any online convenience fees.

Fixed Season Pass

Includes 5 tickets. Fixed Passes save you 20% off individual ticket purchases and are eligible for the 5 Mainstage productions only. Fixed Passes are purchased at the beginning of the season. All production dates, times, and seats will be selected at the time of purchase. Fixed Pass tickets are not transferable outside of Mainstage shows.

Box Office Hours

The Bob Sauers Box Office, located in our theatre lobby, will open 1 hour prior to curtain for each performance. For box office assistance outside of those hours, please email info@lafayettecivic.org or leave at voicemail at 765-423-PLAY (7529). In person, one-on-one, box office assistance is available by appointment only.

Information Before Joining Us at Civic

Late-Seating Policy

There will be NO late seating. Performances begin promptly at scheduled times. Please be in your seat prior to curtain. Latecomers will not be allowed in the theater. Viewing will be available via TV monitor in our lobby. Fire regulations prohibit patrons from standing in the aisles. Tickets not claimed 5 minutes prior to curtain will be released. NO EXCEPTIONS.   

 

Parking

Civic Theatre parking is available behind the theatre in our parking lot. Handicapped parking is clearly marked; violators will be towed. Additional parking is available off-street. Civic Theatre is not responsible for any lost or stolen property from vehicles while parked on our premises. 

 

Sold Out Performances

In the event of a sold-out performance, a waitlist will be created by the Box Office. This list will be created no more than 1 hour prior to the start of the performance. To be added to the waitlist, you must check in, in-person, at the Bob Sauers Box Office on the day of the performance. Waitlisted patrons will be contacted if/as tickets become available. If tickets do not become available, waitlisted patrons may choose to watch the performance from the lobby monitor. 

 

Refund Policy

Refunds are only available in the event of a cancellation by Civic Theatre. Refunds will not be automatically issued due to a canceled performance. To request a refund for a canceled performance, email info@lafayettecivic.org. Any refunds issued by Civic Theatre can take up to 10-15 business days. 

 

Right to Remove Patrons and/or Refuse Service

House Management and/or Civic Staff have the right to remove and/or refuse service to patrons for any reason without issuing refunds. 

 

Electronic & Communication Devices

Cell phone use during performances will not be tolerated. Photography and videography of all productions is strictly prohibited. Turn off all sound-making devices prior to the start of the show, including cell phones. Violators of this policy will be asked to leave and will not be refunded. 

 

Lobby Bar & Concessions

The lobby bar is open one hour before curtain for every performance (hour and a half prior on opening night only). We proudly serve Brokerage Brewery craft beers, select Wildcat Creek Winery wines, Copper Moon Coffees, other hot beverages, and a variety of sodas, snacks, and candies. Food and drink are allowed in the theater. Please clean up after yourself and dispose of trash and recycling in the lobby receptacles. 

 

Opening Night Receptions

Every MainStage opening night will feature a pre-show reception that will include complimentary hot and cold hors d’oeuvres from a local restaurant. There is no additional cost associated with an opening night ticket. Civic Theatre cannot guarantee availability of food at the opening night reception. All MainStage opening night performances will be on Thursday evenings.  

 

Smoking

Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited anywhere in the Monon Depot Theater, or within 8 feet of theater entrances.  

 

Accessibility Requests

Accommodations are available for patrons with restricted mobility, wheelchairs, or vision or hearing impairments. Please inform the box office of any accommodation needed. Personal hearing assistance is available upon request at the Bob Sauers Box Office. 

 

Theatre Etiquette 

No talking during performance (to yourself, others, or actors) 

No texting (see Electronic & Communication Devices) 

Enjoy concessions quietly (avoid unwrapping candy, opening cans, chomping, slurping, and general noise-making during consumption) 

Remain in your seat (please wait until intermission or final curtain to exit to the lobby) 

Respect curtain times (please be in your seat prior to curtain, this includes after intermission, see Late Seating Policy) 

Keep aisles clear (Fire regulations require aisles to remain clear at all times, this includes long legs) 

Stay off the stage (please respect the performers and the set by keeping your feet, legs, and/or personal belongings off the stage; this includes during pre-show and intermission)
