Voice for the Actor for ages 11 and up

A focused class for students who want to explore the depths to which they can use their voice to create and enhance a character. Students will dive into vocal exercises and activities that help them reach new levels of character development. This class will be taught by Purdue acting student, Erica Colarusso.

Showcase: Students will perform monologue selections using a variety of voice techniques.

Learn the basics of using face, body and voice to create characters and react to situations on stage. Students will use improvisational scene work, as well as script analysis to develop character.

Students will learn the "rules" of improvisation and test them out through multiple games and activities that stretch their creativity and imagination.

Students will explore a different aspect of technical theatre each week of class, including: Directing, Set Design, Lighting Design, Sound Design, Costume Design and Stage Management.
