Upcoming Auditions

Audition for an upcoming show or staged reading at Civic! No theatre experience is necessary for most shows, and staged readings are a great way to try out being on stage without all the pressures of memorizing a script and fewer rehearsals.

The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee

Conceived by Rebecca Feldman, Additional Material by Jay Reiss, Music and Lyrics by William Finn, Book by Rachel Sheinkin
Auditioning March 4 – 6, 2018
Directed by Laurie Russell

An eclectic group of six mid-pubescents vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime. While candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home lives, the tweens spell their way through a series of words, hoping never to hear the soul-crushing, pout-inducing, life un-affirming "ding" of the bell that signals a spelling mistake.
